Just weeks ago, Natasha Hamilton confirmed that she and 5ive star Ritchie Neville had called off their engagement.
However they were reunited late last night - albeit not quite in the way in which their hopeful fans had imagined.
The beautiful redhead took to Twitter to confirm that she had been in hospital for several hours.
The Atomic Kitten star said: "Hour 7 of being in hospital...think another ruptured cyst!
"Absolute agony."
She then went on to confirm that Ritchie Neville, despite the fact that they'd recently announced their split, was the person she had at her side during her ordeal.
The mum-of-four wrote: "@RitchieNeville looking after me," before going on to praise the NHS.
"Amazing staff #NHS."
Could this mean that the couple, who share baby daughter, Ella, are set to reunite?
Or does it simply confirm that which they've already told us; that they remain, and always will remain, very good friends?
In a previous interview with OK Magazine Natasha said simply: "I’m devastated about us splitting up.
"Ritchie and I are still good friends but we are no longer together."
However, as always, the devoted mum is ensuring that her and Ritchie’s breakup will not affect her children.
Admitting that she had whisked her boys - Josh, Harry, and Alfie - away to Orlando in Florida for some quality time, she explained: "At the moment I am focusing on Ella and the boys.
“As always their welfare is my primary concern and it’s been nice to spend some quality time with the boys in America and it has helped take my mind off the break up."
The mum-of-four, who underwent a dramatic hair makeover earlier this year, has bravely battled through breakups before; she split from bodyguard Fran Cosgrove shortly after the birth of their son Josh in 2002, from Gavin Hatcher (Harry’s dad) in 2005, and from husband Riad Erraji (Alfie’s dad) in 2013.
However she has always made sure to put her children first, despite cruel comments from people dubbing her a “4x4 mum”.
She told The Mirror: “I do get people saying nasty things because my children have different dads.
“But I feel I would have been a worse mum staying in relationships that were detrimental to me and my children's happiness.”
She added that her older boys are starting to understand her past, and she wants to be nothing but honest with them.
“Josh said to me recently, ‘Mum, I really admire what you've done in your life because you're not willing to settle for anything other than the best.'
“I was so touched. They're wonderful kids and hopefully I can pass on some wisdom, so they make good decisions.”
What an incredible mum.
