Natasha Hamilton says she cried "like a baby" when her boyfriend proposed to her last month.
Fortunately it was all tears of joy for the former Atomic Kitten star, 34, as she was overwhelmed when her lover of eight months, creative director Charles Gay, asked her to be his wife.
The proposal marked the perfect next step for the singer and her whirlwind romance – and she says she has no regrets about saying "yes", despite some fans accusing her of moving too fast.
"I know it's quick, but what Charlie and I have is very special," the 'Whole Again' singer told OK! Magazine.
And it looks like Nat is more than thrilled to find her perfect match – and that her children Josh, 14, Hamilton, 11, Alfie, six, and Ella Rose, two, will be happy with the news too.
"Charlie is a great man who loves me and is great with my children," the mum-of-four said.
"I'm not going to let the opportunity to be happy pass me by for fear that people will judge me," she added.
The moment that Charlie popped the question sounds pretty romantic as he surprised the star by getting down on bended knee during a New York shopping trip on November 24.
"We stopped for a few drinks at the Empire Hotel and while we were looking out over the skyline, he got down on one knee," she revealed.
"He told me he loved me and wanted to commit to me for the rest of his life. My jaw dropped and I started crying like a baby, I was so happy!" she gushed.
While a date has yet to be picked for the big day, Natasha and Charlie – who currently lives in London – are already looking ahead to making a permanent love nest together.
"We're moving in together in Cheshire next year!" the star revealed.
"I'm just waiting for a house I bought back in September to be renovated before we can move in," she added.
Natasha – who has been married once before – says her most recent ex, Five's Ritchie Neville (who is the father of her fourth child, Ella, and from whom she split back in March) is also happy for her.
"I still see Ritchie a lot when he comes to pick up Ella and things are very civil between us. There's no bad blood," she reports.
While Natasha and Ritchie never married, they had dated back when both Atomic Kitten and Five were popular at the beginning of the century.
When the two bands reformed for ITV2's The Big Reunion, the couple reignited their passions before things cooled off this year.
Natasha was previously married to Riad Erraji – who is also the father of her third child, Alife – but they split in July 2013 after seven years together.
The father of Natasha's second son was by dancer Gavin Hatcher who she dated between 2004 and 2005.
While her first love, nightclub owner Fran Cosgrave, is the father of her eldest boy – but they split in 2002 shortly after Josh was born.
We're glad to see Natasha so happy in love again!
