n an interview with Good Morning America, John Mayer and Katy Perry debuted his latest video from album Paradise Valley, in which he and Katy ride a mechanical bull…

The acoustic piece entitled 'Who You Love' features soulful vocals from both artists, with John revealing he had to put Katy in the video in order to see her.

'That's the thing about working with somebody you love. You get to see them. I had to [make] a video in order to get to see my girlfriend.'

The pair also revealed they felt vulnerable appearing together on TV, with John explaining: 'We don't quite know what kind of body language we're supposed to be exhibiting.'

The 36-year-old songwriter also added that he has been writing the song for years, so Katy must be chuffed to have been featured on it.

And it seems the musical duo turn to each other for advice when compiling their songs, with John saying: 'I come in the studio and she plays stuff and I go [mumbled noises] and then I'll hear a melody, because she'll be wrting something, and I'll be like, "Don't, don't don't"'

Katy added that the mechanical bull in the video is significant because 'relationships are kind of like riding a bull. You hang on for dear life.'

What do you think about musicians featuring their partners in their videos. Is it sweet or does it make you cringe?
