If you’re anything like us, you probably hate it when someone unexpectedly uploads an ancient photo to Facebook and tags you in it.

Because, hey, if you wanted that unflattering picture out in the world, you’d have shared it yourself, right?

Well, spare a thought for Rylan Clark-Neal then.

Sitting down with Ruth Langsford and James Martin on ITV’s This Morning, Rylan began explaining that scientists have discovered that the “ginger gene” is the secret to looking younger.

To prove his point, he listed off some red-haired celebs, as their pictures flashed up behind him.

But, mixed in amongst the Prince Harrys and the Isla Fishers, was one VERY old school photograph.

And, after a few moments, it became clear that Rylan recognised the little ginger boy in the snapshot.

Yup, you guessed it; the cheeky little kid was, in fact, Rylan himself.

While we thought Rylan looked cute as a button with his red locks, the presenter was absolutely mortified.

He stood up to say goodbye to both Ruth and James, before signing off his segment early and rushing off the set.

Bless him.

However his reaction definitely left viewers at home tickled pink.

One wrote: “You guys do make me chuckle!! Happy Friday!”

Another added: “So funny Rylan - you do cheer my day up.”

“Rylan, you are hilarious,” said another. “Best thing I’ve seen in ages!”

And it wasn’t long before the folks in charge of the This Morning social feeds sent him a special message.

It read: “Awwww @Rylan, that's the best photo we've seen all week - you've hardly changed at all! #Ryland”

Fingers crossed he forgave them eventually, eh?
