Alison Hammond first came into the spotlight on Big Brother in 2002, and has since appeared on many shows, as well as most notably presenting This Morning.

But Alison has revealed that she weighs “20-something stone”, and is trying to lose weight in fear that her “body might not be able to cope”.

Speaking to Bella magazine, she admitted: “It’s the one thing in my life that I feel like I can’t achieve.

“When you get really big like me, you don’t see any light at the end of the tunnel.”

Revealing that she plans to lose weight in small stages, Alison explained that she is going to “live healthily and drink lots of water” instead of using a quick fix.

And her son Aiden is also helping with his mum’s plan to lose weight, as she revealed he hides her guilty pleasures of sweets and chocolate.

The mum-of-one, who appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2014, says that she would love to weigh 12 stone, and has recently enrolled in a fitness camp in Ibiza to start achieving her goal.

Explaining that she lost 10 pounds, and 22 inches off her body, Alison enthused that she would go back because the programme taught her about food and emotional eating.

And Alison is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Lisa Riley, who recently showed off her incredible transformation.

Speaking about Lisa, Alison said: “She’s an inspiration for bigger girls. Being big isn’t great for your joints and stuff – I’m testimony to that. It’s time to take some of that weight off my joints.”

Back in 2006, Alison had a gastric band fitted, but she said that her body rejected it and so the presenter has decided that she doesn’t to try surgery again to lose weight unless she really needed to.

Best of luck!
