Series five star Molly-Mae Hague – who last week was reported to be the “most successful Islander ever”, having amassed a £2.4m fortune – recently revealed she’s made a U-turn and had her lip and facial fillers dissolved, after admitting she went “too far” with cosmetic procedures.
Molly, 21, first had lip filler aged 17 and jaw filler aged 18 – and after leaving the show, she shocked fans with an alarmingly square-looking face, after having more jaw filler.
But in January, Molly admitted she’d gone over the top, saying her mum had asked her not to have fillers. She said, “I wish I had listened [to my mum]… Now I have got most of the filler dissolved. I went overboard with it and I didn’t really realise what I was doing and I just went too far.”
Last month, she went a step further and had her dental veneers removed. She told fans on her YouTube channel, “The main thing for me was to make sure my teeth were in good condition, I got my composite bonds when I was 19. I don’t think that was a particularly smart move so young when I didn’t need to.”

Maura Higgins: ‘I fear for my kids seeing this picture- perfect stuff’
She quickly became a show favourite for her no-nonsense attitude – and Maura Higgins earned even more praise from fans last month when she appeared on Loose Women totally make-up free.
Maura, 30 – who is dating her co-star Chris Taylor after splitting from dancer Curtis Pritchard – is usually seen looking glamorous on Instagram having had her make-up and hair professionally done, and has previously admitted to getting lip fillers. But she made a statement on embracing the natural look by dialling into the ITV talk-show bare-faced and said she did so to encourage younger fans to feel more confident.
She told the panel, “I feel very naked right now! For me, it’s not ideal to go on live TV with no make-up. I feel more confident with make-up, like any other girl. But I’m thinking of the younger generation. They look at picture-perfect stuff on social media, but we have glam teams and filters.
“I hope to have a family and fear for my kids seeing things like that on social media. You can change the shape of your nose and your face, how big your hair is. You can change everything.”
