Miley Cyrus has a message. Are you ready for this?
“Free the nipple.”
The starlet has taken to Twitter in a bid to show support for the “Free The Nipple” campaign, which seeks to “decriminalize the female body” in response to “American media’s glorification of violence and repression of nudity” through censorship.
Cue Mileybird posting a selfie of herself showcasing a nipple of her own:
Fine. A rubber nipple, but still a nipple.
The grassroots campaign is hoping to "decriminalize the female body" and "protest the backwards censorship laws in the US," according to their Facebook page.
Just last month Miley explained to BBC's Newsbeat that she's frustrated about the double standards between men and women when it comes to nudity.
"I feel like I'm one of the biggest feminists in the world, because I tell women to not be scared of anything"
"Guys get to show their titties on the beach, why can't we," she asked. "I don't understand the double standard of life."
She added, "I feel like I'm one of the biggest feminists in the world, because I tell women to not be scared of anything."
Do you agree with Miley - should women be allowed to flaunt it, without criticism? Is Miley the only true feminist?
