The singer has been hitting the headlines since her break up with the Aussie actor with reports linking her to numerous men. The former Disney actress has been trying to shed her child star image with a sequence of wild stunts, culminating in her controversial VMAs performance alongside ‘Blurred Lines’ singer Robin Thicke.
In the open letter she admitted that, in hindsight, she had perhaps taken things too far.
‘She thought about writing some songs, but then decided why not write a letter to Liam to tell him exactly how she feels. Miley admitted to Liam she has pushed him away and said sorry for acting so mad.’
The couple dated for 4 years after meeting onset of the movie ‘The Last Song’ and confirmed their engagement last year. Their last red carpet appearance together was at the premiere for Liam's film 'Paranoia.' The couple then split in September after rumours circulated that Liam was embarrassed by Miley’s behaviour.
‘Miley says in her letter she still loves Liam deeply and has asked him to meet up. It could be for closure or it could be to start again, but she just wants to see him and talk things through.’
The couple reportedly broke up and got back together twice during their 4 year relationship, but it has been assumed that their split is permanent. This was especially apparent when Liam was seen kissing Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez soon after their split.
Liam has yet to respond to Miley’s white flag.
