Model and designer L'Wren Scott, who had been dating Jagger since 2001, was found hanging by her favourite scarf in a luxurious apartment in the New York District at 10a.m. March 17.
The 47-year-old was found by her assistant and foul-play is not suspected.
Successful designer Scott, who founded her label in 2006, had recently had to cancel her appearance at London Fashion Week due to production delays.
The upmarket fashion brand is a favourite with red carpet regulars Sarah Jessica Parker, Penelope Cruz and Amy Adams.
Former model L'Wren, who was 6ft 4", started her career with Calvin Klein, before going onto star in campaigns for Chanel and Thierry Mugler.
She'd also worked as a celebrity stylist - putting together designs for Madonna and Julia Roberts.
Mick Jagger is currently in Perth, Australia, ahead of a Rolling Stone concert there on Wednesday. It is unclear now whether the singer will perform in the city.
A spokesperson for the star said the singer was: 'shocked and devastated' by the news.
