She gave birth to daughter Faith in Janaury this year but, just 5 months later, Michelle Heaton has taken to her twitter page to show fans she is back to her pre baby weight. Posting a montage of pictures on her page on the social networking site, the Liberty X singer flaunted her taut and toned frame.

“As soon as it was safe for me to train I started working out at home every morning for 40 minutes, doing sit ups, press dips, tricep dips and squat jumps.”

Having gained 3 stone during her pregnancy, Michelle – 32 - admitted she struggled to deal with losing control of her body but, as a qualified personal trainer, she knew exactly how to get back to her pre baby weight of 8stone 6lbs.

While she had to wait two months before she could work out due to undergoing Caesarean surgery and an existing heart condition, in March she started following a tailored workout and diet programme.

Speaking to Closer in early June, Michelle said “As soon as it was safe for me to train I started working out at home every morning for 40 minutes, doing sit ups, press dips, tricep dips and squat jumps.”

“I don’t have a nanny so I’ll work out in the living room while Faith sleep or watches from her baby bouncer.”

Michelle, 5ft 4, also followed to a protein packed eating plan – sticking to three protein-packed meals a day; All-Bran with semi-skimmed milk for breakfast, a fish or chicken salad at lunch and lean meat with roasted veg for dinner. She opts for healthy snacks between meals such as low fat Greek yoghurt or fruit. “I eat every two or three hours, so I don’t ever get hungry."

Michelle, who has struggled with her weight in the past and admits to taking diet pills to try and slim down, knew better than anyone that there were no quick fixes; “I’ve been losing just over 1lb a week, that may not sound like much, but it’s the best way.”

While these snaps suggest Michelle’s body has barely changed, the singer concedes her body will never be the same as before giving birth “I might never be as slim and toned as I was before I was pregnant – my stomach will never be properly flat again and I have a Caesarean scar. But I’m proud of my body, because I’ve got Faith to show for it”.
