The 27-year-old and Mark, 28, are set to tie the knot in May, and Michelle said she'd love for them to end up like married presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.
She told heat magazine: "I want to be Ruth and Eamonn. We'd never say no to working together, but I like us doing our separate things, so we can get home and crash on the sofa and talk about our day."
Former Coronation Street star Michelle is currently featuring in new BBC One drama Ordinary Lies, which starts this month.
She quit the ITV soap last year and said that Ordinary Lies is exactly the kind of thing she wanted.
She told Hello! magazine; "I got a few scripts, but this was the one that I really wanted.
"I left and thought, 'I've got to get that job'. I can relate to [my character]; she's a normal girl, she's in a job that just gets her by, pays for clothes and the make-up, and she just wants a better life, and that's what gets her in trouble."
Teasing her storyline, Michelle added: When you first see [Tracy] on holiday, she's having a great time with her mate, having cocktails and then it turns really sinister."
