It’s been less than a year since they had their fairytale wedding at the end of May last year, and already Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright have been plagued by split rumours.
Last week Michelle, 28 – who has spent the last few months in Cape Town filming Our Girl, while Mark, 29, remains in Essex – raised eyebrows when she was snapped partying with her male co-stars without her wedding ring.
While Mark enjoyed several nights out in the UK with his male pals with claims the couple were leading “separate lives”.
The reports come after the couple – who are known for regularly posting loved-up selfies on social media – set tongues wagging when they uncharacteristically stopped sharing any pictures of each other.
And despite being pictured looking loved-up at this week’s TV BAFTAs, pals say the couple have grown so distant they’re struggling to stay on speaking terms and Michelle has even reached out to former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl.
A source says: “Michelle is trying to put on a brave face but when she stops filming, she's an emotional wreck.
"She still speaks to Mark most days but it's a couple of texts back and forth now rather than long conversations.
"Mark is also very upset, he's desperate to fix things and wants a face to face to try and resolve things.
“Michelle and Cheryl stay in touch over What's app, and Michelle has reached out to her about the relationship.
"Cheryl told Michelle to think long and hard before she pulled the plug but if she wasn't happy, to just bite the bullet however painful it is."
"Michelle isn’t not going to make any decisions just yet, she still wants to do all she can to save the marriage."
