The actress is set to leave the soap after 6 years with the soap. Her character, Tina McIntyre will be killed off in her dramatic exit from the popular TV show.

A friend of the 26-year-old told The Sun that the party would act as a ‘wake’ for the actress’s popular character.

They said: 'Tina is chavvy. It’s all in good humour and a celebration of her character.'

‘It is a wake for Tina but also a leaving party as Michelle is moving away from Manchester.’

The planned bash has been a target for criticism with some fans of the star reportedly saying that the word ‘chav’ has negative connotations.

Following her exit from the soap, Michelle is planning a move to Essex to be with fiancé, TOWIE star Mark Wright.

The couple met in Dubai on New Years Eve in 2012 and got engaged last year after less than a year of dating.

Though the couple have yet to spill and details on potential wedding plans, they have both revealed in interviews that they are looking forward to starting a family together.

Mark has said that he can’t wait to be a ‘family man’ whereas Michelle said: ‘My mum’s told me how exhausting it is but I know when the time comes I’ll be ready.’
