Our Girl star and all round lovely lady Michelle Keegan has revealed that she was MORE nervous about her dad seeing her sex scenes in recent BBC drama Our Girl, than she was about hubby Mark Wright seeing the steamy sessions.
The actress plays Lance Corporal Georgie Lane in the drama, and it seems that when series two was screened, she apparently couldn’t look her family’s way. She shares her feelings on the Jonathan Ross Show when she’s a guest on his sofa alongside Michael Douglas, Keith Lemon and John Bishop on Saturday night.
When Jonathan asks who she’s most nervous about watching her performance, she replies: "Not so much my partner but… I’m going to be honest, my dad.
"He came to the screening with my mum and I was sat on the other side with the cast, and I remember my brother was sat between my mum and my dad…
"I remember the scene coming on and I couldn’t look in that direction once, I couldn’t do it… And we haven’t even spoken about it since, I just can’t bring it up."
Who can’t relate to that – it’s bad enough watching OTHER people’s sex scenes on telly with your parents, but imagine it was you!
Michell’s next role will be playing footballer Bobby Moore’s ex-wife Tina in an upcoming ITV drama – another complete change for the actress, who says she is enjoying tackling different roles at the moment, and growing as an actress.
Meanwhile, fans have been waiting to hear whether Michelle is returning to play Georgie in a third series of the gripping drama.
Will there be an Our Girl series 3?
Creator of the popular BBC Show Tony Grounds told press this year: "There's room for a series three [of Our Girl]. While the British Army is out there in the world, there are more stories to tell.'
"It can go on for as long as the British Army can," while Michelle herself has confirmed she WILL be back for series three.
BBC One also confirmed the news tweeting: 'We're delighted to announce that #OurGirl will return to @BBCOne for a third series, starring @michkeegan as Georgie Lane.'
