Michelle Keegan has had a HUGE pay rise after leaving Coronation Street.
The actress is said to now make 16 times the amount she did on the soap, so it seems she definitely made the right decision to quit.
The star left the ITV series in 2014 after six years playing the character Tina McIntyre.
But figures from her firm Rosia Promotions Ltd show she’s earning a lot more now.
Michelle was paid £60,000 per year on Corrie but couldn’t take on endorsement deals for beauty products and clothing brands due to her ITV contract.
However, she’s now the face of high street clothing label Lipsy which reportedly pays her £250,000 a year.
She is also said to have been paid a whopping £150,000 for her work with Garnier’s Ambre Solaire tan range.
In total last year she made just under £1million.
A source told The Sun: “Corrie was a dream come true but she had to leave for the sake of her bank balance. It looks like a shrewd move.”
However, her heavy workload means she’s not able to spend as much time with husband Mark Wright.
A source told Closer: “Things have still been tense between Michelle and Mark since she returned from filming My Girl. Mark feels like he’s treading on eggshells and isn’t being his usual bubbly self.
“She’s found it tough to readjust to life with Mark after spending so much time away on set.”
