Actress Michelle Keegan opens up about her tough life on the Our Girl set and special visits from husband Mark Wright
Michelle Keegan swapped the cobbles of Corrie for camouflage in 2015 when she joined the hit BBC series Our Girl as Corporal Georgie Lane.
Michelle and Mark may have raised eyebrows from critics over their long-distance romance, but she insists she still has no desire to join him in LA.
She explained: "I've got an American agent and I've had a few meetings, but I've got nothing lined up. I do like it out there, but I couldn't live there full-time. I'm such a home bird and I love going back to Manchester and, when Mark's home, chilling out in Essex at our home. I think LA is too far away. It's good to go away for a few weeks to get a bit of sunshine."

And she admits she had to keep thoughts of home and her husband of three years Mark Wright at the back of her mind just to make it through a gruelling eight months of non-stop shooting in Malaysia, South Africa and Kuala Lumpar for Our Girl.
She said: “It was a really long shoot. I didn’t think about home when I was out there because I knew how long I was working for. I couldn’t think about home because then I’d get homesick. I knew I needed to focus on the job. By the end of the shoot, I was looking forward to normality. I just wanted a normal Sunday afternoon with my family, Mark and our dogs. Just to chill.
But she insists the couple found time to see each other and Mark, 31, would visit with some much-needed home comforts. She added: "We spoke on FaceTime everyday,. When he came to see me, he brought me some tea bags. My friend also came out to see me and brought me Rich Tea bicuits - the normal stuff that you don't think you'll miss, but you do."
