Michelle Keegan joined fiancé Mark Wright in celebrating his first performance on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

The actress arrived at the studio to watch the former TOWIE star perform alongside dance partner Karen Hauer, and she appeared to bring luck to the reality star after he received a standing ovation for his debut performance.

Mark insured he stood out amongst this year’s contestants by performing ‘the worm’ halfway through the routine.

After the routine, he tweeted a photo with a very proud looking Michelle, captioning it with: “Having an after show drink !! Glad I got through it tonight. I feel relieved !! Bring on next week !! Loved it #scd.”

Mark admitted to fans he was nervous about the his first appearance, tweeting his followers: “Next stop I dance. I cant explain the nerves going through my body. I just have to try and relax. Hope you enjoy guys. 7pm bbc1 @bbcstrictly.”
