The 28-year-old has been linked to the show for the last few series but has yet to slip on a sequin leotard and learn the Cha-Cha for the BBC One show.
But is that about to change? Speaking to OK! Online recently, the actress suggested that she’ll be joining the show later this year.
Michelle said: “We’ve got something in the pipeline for the beginning of Autumn but I can’t say too much because nothing’s been signed yet. I can say though that it’s something really exciting.”
Last year Mark, also 28, competed with professional dancer Karen Hauer and, despite having no experience himself, managed to finish in fourth place.
According to reports Michelle is already favourite to win this year despite that fact she hasn’t even confirmed her appearance.
It’s been a busy year for former Coronation Street actress Michelle: as well as planning the showbiz wedding of the year and marrying Mark last month, she landed a role in the critically acclaimed drama Ordinary Lies.
More recently she confirmed that she’ll be taking over from Lacey Turner as the lead role in Our Girl, allegedly signing a £250,000 deal.
Gushing about her new role, Michelle said: “The news is finally out about my new role. I am over the moon about this. I loved the first series with Lacey Turner in it, and can’t wait for my next big challenge and where it will take me.”
