Michelle Keegan confirms first acting role since quitting Coronation Street

Michelle Keegan has finally confirmed her next acting role, her first since leaving the soap where she made her name.

The 27-year-old star, who has kept details of her next project under wraps since she left Coronation Street earlier in the summer, is set to star in BBC drama Ordinary Lies, which will revolve around a car salesroom in the north of England.

Apparently the series will focus on ‘a group of compelling characters’ and what happens when the lies they tell ‘spin out of control with sometimes tragic, sometimes funny consequences.’

Michelle will star as a wannabe WAG, who works on reception but dreams of a luxurious lifestyle - not far from Michelle’s own.

Set to air in 2015, we still have some time to go before we can see Michelle’s latest project, but we’ll sure be tuning into see how she does now that Tina McIntyre is no more (sob).
