Michelle Heaton speaks out in support of Katie Hopkins: ‘I actually agree with her’

Katie Hopkins, 39, has come under fire after purposefully piling on 3st 7lbs pounds for new TV show Katie Hopkins: Journey to Fat and Back.

Yet, despite many people slating Katie for increasing her calorie intake so that she can prove to 'fatties' that they CAN lose weight, she has found one celebrity supporter.

Michelle Heaton, 35, wrote in her column: "I have no doubt she will succeed in her mission in proving all you need is a healthy diet and regular exercise in order to lose weight as I actually agree with her.

"Ultimately, my diet advice will always be healthy eating – reduce empty calories – and increase the amount of time you spend working out."

However, despite this, Michelle slammed Katie's controversial scheme, writing: "'Urgh' is all I have to say about the outspoken star piling on the pounds to prove overweight people have no excuse.

"Who does that to their body just to prove a point? She's got a very long and hard road ahead of her."

Katie has also been targeted by those who say they're happy being overweight, as well as those whose weight is the result of a number of medical conditions.

Using the hashtag #jogonKatieHopkins, the social media movement has seen people hitting back at Katie's comments, branding her "disgusting" and "ignorant".
