Michelle gave birth to son Aaron by C-section and she says she wouldn’t recommend the experience to other expectant mothers.
The mum of two told a UK magazine: ‘I will say to anyone who thinks it’s an easy way out, they can’t be more wrong. Recovery is horrendous. I’m on all sorts of painkillers- I don’t know the names but its two white pills and a pink one.’
Michelle and husband Hugh Hanley welcomed their second child within minutes of Michelle receiving the epidural.
Following the procedure staff let Michelle recover and bond with her new son.
‘They took me to the recovery room for an hour where he had his first bottle- I can’t breastfeed because of my mastectomy,’ she explains.
According to Michelle, baby Aaron is the spitting image of dad, Hugh.
‘He is very pretty- he looks like daddy,’ she says.
When the pop star was asked if she felt self-conscious over her surgery scars, she replied defiantly: ‘I feel they’re my war wounds.’
She continued: ‘The scars on my boobs I’ve got because I prevented breast cancer, the scar on my heart is because I’m being looked after and the scar on my belly is because I’ve got two beautiful kids.’
Congratulations, Michelle!
