Mel B and Stephan Belafonte appeared to quash rumours that their marriage is in trouble by posing together for a festive family photo.

The 39-year-old looked much healthier after being rushed to hospital ahead of the X Factor final earlier this month.

Surrounded by her children Phoenix, 14, Angel, 7, and Madison, 3, the family looked relaxed and happy as they enjoyed Christmas together.

Mel shared the picture on Instagram, captioning the photo: "Have a merry Christmas! #familytime #funday”.

Following her stay in hospital, Mel and husband Stephen faced claims that their marriage was in trouble, with further allegations surfacing over Stephen’s private life.

The American-born film producer posted a selfie with step-daughter Madison, blasting the reports as "stupid rumours”.

Prior to the selfie, he wrote on Twitter: "I don’t usually respond to Twitter messages but I will respond to comments of hitting my wife which I think are quite disgusting. Untrue," he said at the time.

He then added: "Mel was very ill and a bunch of doctors helped her get better."
