Mel B has opened up about her sexual past, revealing she was in a relationship with a woman for five years.

During a sit-down with the Spice Girl for Gay Star News an interviewer began to ask a question saying: "You've been pretty straightforward about your sexual experimentation in the past…" before Mel cut them off an explained: ”It wasn't experimentation. I fell in love with a woman for five years. An experiment doesn't last five years."

Go Mel!

She didn't elaborate any more on the relationship mentioned but she did open up about homophobia, saying: "Why would I have fear? I'm not a fearful person. As soon as I left home, I lived my life fully."

The mother of four also revealed she’d be happy if any of her children came out as gay. "What's the ratio, one in five?” she said. “I'm hoping probably one of them will be! It's not something I'd push, but it's not something I'd push under the carpet."

Mel was of course also asked about the ever-impending Spice Girls reunion and while she revealed that she's been spending more time with her former bandmates she wouldn’t give anything else away: "...Me, Geri and Emma have been hanging out as our schedules permitted to spend a bit of time together...I'm not going to tell you what we did together, but we had a nice time!"

What a tease!

She also very tactfully answered who she thought was the hottest Spice Girl, saying: "It depends which one's got make-up on! I'm kidding. They're all hot in different ways."
