Mel B is reportedly in a relationship with a police officer from Beverly Hills - a literal Beverly Hills cop - whilst in the middle of a divorce battle with her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte.
Mum-of-three Mel has reportedly moved on from her failed marriage to film producer Belafonte with an American police officer.
Many have pointed out the irony in the similarities between her rumoured new boyfriend and her previous boyfriend Eddie Murphy's character Axel Foley from the Beverly Hills Cop film franchise.
But Mel's apparent main draw to her new rumoured beau is the fact that he IS a police officer - and has access to firearms.
American news site TMZ wrote: "Sources say one of the reasons she like him around so much is that he carries a gun, and she’s scared of estranged hubby Stephen Belafonte."
Mel was granted a restraining order against Belafonte, who she initiated divorce proceedings against in March of this year, although it listed their separation as being in December.
TMZ also report that Mel has been seeing her now boyfriend for quite a few months - and that he has even been in attendance at recordings of America's Got Talent and has gone to social events with her.

They add that Mel met her new man through mutual friends - but that some have expressed concerns over the fact that she is still in the middle of a court battle with Belafonte and also her former children's nanny Lorraine Gilles, who was involved with both Mel and Stephen sexually.
Gilles, 26, who started working for Mel when she was 18, is suing Mel after court documents branded her a homewrecker.
We hope things last with Mel and her new partner - she needs some good fortune!
