Relatives were left fearing for her safety after she turned nasty on Thursday night’s episode.
The reality star launched into a foul-mouthed rant after clashing with rivals John Partridge, 44, and Tiffany Pollard, 34. She was later restrained in the diary room after hitting a camera.
Last night a family source told the Daily Star on Sunday: "Everyone was very worried about Megan. It wasn't an easy watch for her loved ones.
"Megan's mum called straight away to find out how she was doing. Thankfully by then 24 hours had gone by and everything had calmed down."
But pals fear Megan, 23, will breakdown again if housemates are forced to go back on basic rations.
The source added: “If Megan hasn’t eaten and then drinks alcohol, she isn’t herself.
"She struggles to express herself the way she wants to if she's deprived of food and sleep. But if it does happen again she won't turn violent. There's no chance of that."
