The 29-year-old drummer revealed that he and wife Izzy, 31, felt ‘blessed’ to be expecting a child after undergoing the heartbreak of a miscarriage last year.
Harry, who announced last month he is set to become a father, told Hello! magazine that his wife suffers with polycystic ovaries, and as a result struggles with conceiving.
‘You feel like you are never going to be the ones who get to say “We are having a baby,” That is why we feel so blessed now’ Harry admitted.
‘In an ideal world when you’re ready to start a family you hope you will conceive in the first few months of trying.’
‘We were like, no, no we won’t need IVF, it won’t be us.’
But as it turns out, the couple did need help in conceiving, and are now expecting a baby - due in January.
The couple got engaged in May 2012 during a romantic trip to St Lucia, walking down the aisle just months later.
