Posh’s eldest son Brooklyn and his pal Liam Payne were two of the UK’s most eligible bachelors before announcing their engagements to American model billionairesses within weeks of each other last year.
Now, insiders say Liam, 27, and Maya Henry, 20, are battling it out with Brooklyn, 22, and Nicola Peltz, 26, for the biggest – and most lavish – showbiz weddings. It’s even believed the celebrations could total a whopping £40m.
A source says, “Brooklyn and Liam are both big stars, but as far as their weddings go, it will be their billionaire fiancées and their families who will be calling the shots.
“The foursome are all friends, but the more Nicola and Maya have been discussing their plans, the more the competition has been growing between them. They are both used to having the best things in life, and they both want the ultimate wedding – they’re not used to coming second best!”
Actress Nicola – who is worth an estimated £50m – is the daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, 78. Worth an incredible £1.3 billion, he famously splashed out almost £2m on his twin sons’ bar mitzvah party in 2016.
According to reports, she and Brooklyn are set to have two sets of nuptials next year, one on each side of the Atlantic. One is reported to be at the Peltz family’s Palm Beach estate in Florida, while the other – hosted by the Beckhams – is said to be in Puglia, Italy.

Pals say the Texan lawyer – who’s worth £24 billion and famously threw his daughter a £4m party for her 15th birthday – wants to hire George Clooney’s Lake Como estate for the big day, which is where Liam and Maya first met.
The source says, “Maya’s dad insists it will be the grandest wedding Lake Como has ever seen. He’s already been making calls to George as well as Andrea Bocelli, who the couple want to sing at the actual ceremony. They’d also love Beyoncé and Lady Gaga to perform at the after party.”
