Before he married TV presenter Emma Willis, Matt had a pretty impressive career of his own. In music alone, he played bass in the massively successful boyband Busted alongside Charlie Simpson and James Bourne from 2000 - 2005, enjoyed a solo career after, and then formed supergroup McBusted with members of McFly. He’s also been on TV and worked on a load of non-musical projects, but we’ll get to that.

Emma and Matt met at MTV in 2005 when she was the one doing all the chasing! He didn’t call her for a while, but luckily they made it work in the end. He later confessed that he had had a crush on, “the girl from MTV with the eyes” for a while, and that she was at the top of celebs he wanted to meet. A happy ending.

Tons! Beating the odds as the underdog of the show, Matt was crowned I’m a Celebrity’s King of the Jungle in 2006. He has also followed in his wife’s footsteps and done a spot of presenting both with her and alone, including the BRIT Awards and I’m a Celebrity. He also had a short stint in Eastenders in 2014 as Luke Riley, the boyfriend of Stacey Branning, and tried his hand at theatre in productions of Flashdance: The Musical, Wicked, and Footloose among others...he never stops!
