The 61-year-old wed former model Gena Avery, 48, in Texas last weekend following an 18-month engagement.
However daughters Beyoncé, 31, and 27-year-old Solange Knowles were not in attendance.
Brushing off long-standing rumours of a rift, the music mogul told an American site: ‘Unfortunately, Beyoncé and Solange had previous engagements which made it impossible for them to attend.'
Beyoncé is currently in the middle of her Mrs Carter tour, whilst Solange is touring to promote her new single True.
However there may be more behind their apparent snub.
Mathew and Tina Knowles separated in 2009 after 30 years of marriage, following revelations that he fathered a child-Nixon, now 3, outside his marriage.
Reports emerged that he had been having an 18-month affair with Scrubs star Alexsandra Wright, and Tina, 59, filed for divorce soon after.
In 2011 Beyoncé ended their professional relationship after 21 years, claiming that their personal relationship remained full 'of love'.
Speaking about her decision to leave her father’s management company in her recent documentary Life Is But a Dream, the Run The World singer admitted:
'My dad knew that I needed his approval,'
'And I think my father wouldn't give it to me. Because he kept pushing me. And kept pushing me. And kept pushing me. Every time my dad pushed me, I got better and stronger.'
'[However] I needed a break, I needed my dad. I had to let go.'
