Wannabe Kanye West Mason caused outrage during his six chair challenge audition when he complained he hadn’t been given enough airtime at Boot Camp.
Simon Cowell labelled him a ‘complete a***hole’ and ordered him to apologise, but Mason refused and stormed from the stage – after throwing his microphone to the floor.
But 19-year-old Tom’s sudden decision to pull out of the competition – ‘due to personal reasons’ – means Mason and his giant ego may come back for Nick Grimshaw’s Judges’ Houses round.
A source told the Mirror: “It could be Mason, it could be Nathanael… It could be anyone of them.
“No decision has been made yet. As it stands – they could go with Nick just having five boys or choose a replacement from the six chair challenge.”
Mason, 21, wowed the judges with his first audition, singing Justin Timberlake’s Señorita, and even managed to pull Rita Ora up for a dance.
After his attitude got the better of him in the latest round of auditions, Radio 1 DJ Nick, 30, said Birmingham-based waiter Mason would’ve had a chair if he’d managed to behave himself.
Tom recently appeared on The Ellen Show to perform with Jessie J, after an online duet of them went viral earlier this year, and it’s been alleged she advised him to drop out of the show.
Nick’s boys category is now made up of Seann Miley Moore, Ben Clarke, Che Chesterman, Josh Daniel and Simon Lynch.
