Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner were first introduced to each other on the show Married At First Sight, where they wed the same day.

The couple have had quite the rollercoaster in their first year of marriage, which was documented in spin-off show Married At First Sigh: The First Year.

And it was just last week that the couple happily shared the news that they were expecting their first child together, and looking forward to the “next chapter” in their lives.

Tragically, the couple have now announced that they have lost their little one.

Taking to Instagram Jamie shared a poem with her fans, which reads: “An angle opened up the book of life and wrote down my baby’s birth. Then she whispered as she closed the book, ‘He’s too beautiful for Earth’.”

Jamie captioned the post: “Our Baby Hehner was just too beautiful for earth. I love him so much - ALWAYS will - and can't wait to meet him in heaven one day. Please pray for us.”

She later posted a collage, which she said Doug had made for their baby.

She wrote: “Baby Hehner, daddy made this picture collage for you. It's only been one day since we lost you, but our love for you has grown more than you'll know.

“You're our little Angel up in Heaven. We cannot wait to meet you and hold you again one day. We love you and miss you.”

Doug also took to his Instagram to post the photo, captioning the post: “#BabyHehner even though you could only leave us with your footprints, you will forever remain in our hearts, and @jamienotis and I love you!

“Thank you everyone for your love and support.”
