Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner from Married at First Sight have revealed that they are now expecting a little baby.

Taking part of FYI series in the US, the couple are looking forward to the “next chapter” in their lives as their little one is due in December.

Taking to her blog, Jamie said: “I still cannot even believe that I went from being Married At First Sight to Married and pregnant in a little over two years!”

And Jamie had a very unusual – but sweet – way of revealing to husband Doug that she was pregnant.

On her blog she wrote: “You may know I have a jewellery line. One of my most popular items is my Spoon Me necklace. It signifies two people who enjoy spooning – there’s a “big” spoon and a “little” spoon.

“If you watched Doug and me on Married At First Sight, you definitely know we love spooning. I created this necklace because spooning is what we love, but it also brought us closer together and keeps us close together.

“When we began trying to get pregnant I created a ‘baby’ spoon. This spoon now fits right into the two larger ‘parent’ spoons. This was the first surprise I gave to doug with a note that says ‘Make room, daddy. Baby Hehner wants to spoon too!’”

However it seems Doug didn’t quite get the hint, so Jamie continued to leave hints for him including a book that said ‘New Dad’ and two bibs with a note saying how excited she was to be his baby’s mum.

She then gave Doug a few cards that read the expected date and how far along she was – to which Doug finally got the hint!

Since the reveal, Jamie has been posting sweet snaps to Instagram showing off her growing bump and pregnancy scan.

The couple have had quite the rollercoaster in their first year of marriage, and documented this in spin-off show Married at First Sight: The First Year.

But Jamie and Doug have grown as a couple and are clearly very excited to meet their unborn baby.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
