Mark Wright dated TOWIE's Lauren Goodger for ten years
Mark Wright has finally spoke out after it was recently discovered that Michelle Keegan had an opinion about him before they met.
If you cast your mind back to 2011 Mark and Lauren Goodger were together. Throughout the reality show the Essex couple argued, made up, cheated and got engaged. During the turbulent time Michelle Keegan spoke about her now-husband and admitted their relationship made her cringe.
In her column, she wrote: "I love TOWIE It's one of those shows you don't want to watch, but just can't help turning on."
She then said: "I don't know how Lauren can take Mark back so easily, though - it's so cringe! I wouldn't be able to get back with someone who'd slept with lots of girls I knew, but that's just me."
Awkward!
And now Mark has responded to Michelle's comments, he admitted: "I don't think she meant it like that. She meant it like the situation was cringey, rather than me being cringey.
"I didn't even know she'd said that until the other week, so I didn't have to win her around because I didn't think about it. She didn't say that to me, she was completely nice to me," he told Digital Spy.
N'aww.
Mark also spoke about the first time he saw his wife and said: "I just thought she was smoking hot. I'm going to make that girl my girlfriend.
"I'd spoken to Michelle at events and stuff and we got on so well. She's such a nice girl. We had a laugh without being a couple, without telling each other we fancied each other.
"I was just friends with her at first and we kept bumping into each other over the space of two or three months and we just got on really well."
Well things certainly worked out for the pair; a year after Michelle wrote that column they started dating and the following year they were engaged!
