Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan's marriage is rumoured to be suffering from their hectic workloads, now sources say Mark is preparing to take a back seat - and change of direction – over his career in a bid to save his relationship with Michelle.

While actress Michelle, 29, has landed a string of acclaimed television roles since leaving Coronation Street in 2014 and has reportedly made over £1 million last year, former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark, 29, has mainly stuck to his reality show roots, as well as having a weekly radio show, moonlighting as a DJ and making personal appearances at gigs.

Now sources close to the couple say Mark is looking to scale back nightclub appearances and seek out more serious TV work in a bid to spend more time with Michelle - and bring them closer together.

“He’s interested in getting into acting and is looking at taking lessons to see how he gets on. He adores Michelle and has said he’ll do whatever it takes to make things work.”
