Michelle, 28, quit Coronation Street last year and has gone on to enjoy a variety of different projects – and it's been rumoured that the BBC One competition was next on her list.
But Mark, also 28, insists Michelle is just too busy to take a waltz across the dance floor right now.
Speaking to the Daily Star, the former TOWIE star said: "I don't think she wants to do it. She's busy with her own work at the moment. She's going to be in the BBC One drama Our Girl, playing an Army medic.
"That means she will be away filming for a while. But there are always flights I can get to see her, so it'll be fine."
Discussing his own time on the show, Mark admitted that he hasn't continued with the dancing.
He said: "I lost so much weight doing that show. But I haven't had time to keep up with the dancing. Besides, I put myself through so much torture for those four months that I needed a break – I'm danced out!"
Mark, who recently launched two new fragrances, Michelle's success and how it makes him feel.
He added: "I am proud of her every day – personally and in her work. She's one in a million."
