While the rest of the TOWIE cast make the most of the rays, romance and raucous behaviour in Marbella, Mario Falcone has been temporarily suspended fromthe show.

His axing comes after video footage of someone, who looked him, using cocaine was leaked. But before the scandal, the 26-year old reality TV star told Closer that he’d always been looked after by the TOWIE bubble.

He said: “On TOWIE we’re protected a little bit. We go into a scene and we know that the cameras are there, we can watch what we say and make sure we don’t say anything stupid.”

But that won’t stop him from holding back if he wants to bad mouth someone. He added: “It’s our job to bitch that’s the whole reason why we’re on TV and on TOWIE.”

Mario initially quit TOWIE in 2013 to star on Celebrity Big Brother but returned to the scripted reality show shortly after. During that time Mario learnt what life outside of the show is really like and has a realistic view on his career prospects.

He said: “We have to remember when you go into the I’m A Celebrity jungle or the Big Brother House it’s not as if you’ve signed up for a Hollywood film. If I’m honest, we all have our markets and our talents.”

But if anyone will make it Mario would put his money on Sam Faiers who made a tearful goodbye in the last series of TOWIE.

He said: “I don’t know if Sam will be a massive star but she’s very attractive, plus she’s career minded and clever so women can aspire to be like her too.”
