The video was alleged to have been filmed at Mario’s friend’s house after a night out.
A source told The Sun: ‘We had been out as a group and wanted to carry the party on. Mario had his own ideas on how to do that, though.’
‘He just started snorting this stuff in front of everyone. No one could believe their eyes.’
A spokesperson for the production company behind TOWIE has revealed that Mario has been temporarily suspended from filming the successful reality show pending an investigation.
They said in a statement: ‘Mario will not be taking part in filming in Marbella while this matter is looked into.’
The rest of the cast- including Jessica Wright, Lauren Pope and Dan Osborne- are currently relaxing in the Spanish resort, whilst Mario has been asked to stay away.
A source told The Sun that the video could mean the end of Mario’s TOWIE gig.
They said: ‘This could be the end of Mario’s television career. He’s become an important part of the show in the last three years but the show doesn’t make exceptions for anyone when it comes to drugs. He should know that.’
