She’s about to start a residency at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas and last night she dropped new single Infinity.

Reminiscent of 90s Mariah, the break-up song is being labelled by fans as one of her strongest single releases in years.

And, while she’s remained tight-lipped during interviews over her split from husband Nick Cannon, 33, Mariah seems to have let rip in her new lyrics.

“Close the door, lose the key, leave my heart on the mat for me,” the 45-year-old diva sings, before adding, “I was yours eternally, there’s an end to infinity”.

While that’s enough to suggest the song is a direct message to the father of her three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, the world’s best selling female artist had more to say.

Nick filed for divorce in December 2014

Seemingly addressing Nick’s rise in popularity following their marriage, Mariah sings: “Wouldn’t have none of that without me, though.”

Mariah and Nick married in 2008 after dating for six weeks, and he allegedly filed for divorce in 2014.

While no official reason has been given for their split, Infinity seems to insist there’s no going back.

“Ain’t do being friends, ain’t no false pre tense, ain’t no make amends, ain’t no come agains. That’s the story, ain’t no happy ends,” Mariah croons.

The single is taken from Mariah’s upcoming greatest hits album #1 to Infinity, which is set to be released next month.
