Rumours of trouble in their marriage have been around for a while, but Nick, 33, seemed to confirm this last month when he suggested to reporters that there was 'trouble in paradise'.

A source told E!: "Mariah has started the divorce process. She's getting all her ducks in a row."

Meanwhile, presenter Nick has taken to Twitter to deny making the comments about his marriage to the 44-year-old singer.

He said: "'Trouble in Paradise' is the dumbest phrase I've ever heard! I would never say that s***.

Nick added: "For the record I NEVER have, nor will I make a statement regarding my marriage", before saying: "I love @MariahCarey and that will never change!!!"

So far Mariah hasn't commented on the rumours that she and Nick are divorcing, with her publicist saying: "Mariah is focusing on her children and her upcoming tour."
