The amicable pair, who ended their marriage this time last year, joined forces to take their twins out with Grandma Beth Gardner, sharing a smiling snap of the moment.
For anyone who has split from their partner with whom they have kids, they’ll know the pain of putting aside personal feelings in order to do what’s best for the children.
And it seems Mariah and Nick are big enough people to be able to do that.
“It’s all about unconditional love,” Cannon told Ellen DeGeneres.
“They know Mommy and Daddy still love each other, but more importantly, they love us.”
Nick even revealed that the twins, 4, have got a method of making sure they get maximum presents from their newly separated parents, saying they divvy up what each are getting.
“Mommy’s getting me this, Daddy’s getting me this, Santa’s getting me this,” he described to Ellen.
And although Mariah has embarked on a new relationship with Australian billionaire James Packer, it seems Nick is less bothered about rushing the romance, admitting he is currently “celibate”.
