Mariah, 45, shares four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, aka Roc and Roe, with ex-husband Nick Cannon, and she’s opened up about the possibility of adding to her brood with new fiancé James Packer.

Speaking to Diana Madison on The Lowdown, the singer – who recently announced her engagement to 48-year-old Australian billionaire James – discussed motherhood and its challenges.

She said: “It’s hard. It only gets harder, but you know what? We make it work and we do our best.”

While she and James are said to be planning a sweet, sweet Fantasy wedding, the superstar insisted she’s content with the children she has.

“No, those are my two babies,” Mariah said. “I think they would be so jealous because they get upset when I pet the dog.”

Having a mother as successful as Mariah, who’s sold over 200 million records worldwide, undoubtedly inspires Roc and Roe, but she isn’t putting any pressure on them.

Mariah stressed that she wants ‘them to be happy with whatever they do’, and added: “I want them to be safe and protected and around good people. But I want them to be happy.”

With her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace and her upcoming European tour, Mariah is as busy as ever – but she takes juggling performing and motherhood duties in her stride.

She added: “It’s not just ambition, but it’s the love of music and entertainment. That’s always been what I love.”
