Mariah, 45, stepped out with her 48-year-old fiancé James Packer at the G’Day USA Gala last night, and all eyes were on her £8 million rock.
It was their first red carpet outing since Australian billionaire James popped the question last week, and we’re surprised Mariah didn’t have an assistant on stand by to carry her hand.
The superstar looked sensational in sparkly floor-length black dress, simply accessorised with her bling and a huge smile to match.
Looking content, the husband-and-wife-to-be happily posed for waiting photographers and appeared to only have eyes for each other.
Vision of Love singer Mariah is well-known for her luxurious lifestyle so we’re not surprised to hear, especially after seeing the ring, that she’s allegedly planning a wedding that will get her into the record books.
A source told Closer: “James is as big a diva as Mariah – he expects the royal treatment wherever he goes. He has promised her the most spectacular over-the-top wedding and told friends there’s no budget.
“Mariah wants a summer wedding and has set up meetings with event organisers and designers. Mariah is telling everyone to expect the most incredible – and most expensive – wedding imaginable.”
Mariah, who shares four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-husband Nick Cannon, started dating James in June last year, and it’s been reported she wants the wedding to take place where they fell in love – in the Mediterranean.
The source added: “Mariah is totally in love and James worships the ground she walks on – she credits him for helping bring her back to life after her last divorce. She’s joked he’s the only man who can handle her. She has no doubts that this marriage will last forever.”
