The 45-year-old diva is releasing greatest hits compilation #1 To Infinity to coincide with her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace.

But, while the collection is packed with all 18 of Mariah’s Billboard Hot 100 number ones, plus a new song, it’s the artwork which has really caught attention.

The cover is strikingly similar to that of Mariah's first greatest hits compilation, which was released in 1998

A very slim-looking Mariah is posing in front of a grey backdrop, looking as amazing as ever – but some were quick to point out she looks a little different to when she was last seen out and about.

It’s entirely possible Mariah just worked out intensely to achieve her new body, but one user claimed she is ‘shopped to about half her size’.

But Mariah’s loyal ‘lambily’ were quick to jump to her defence.

One blasted: “Mariah Carey is the most successful artist of all time, and you, a teenage with internet access, wanna come for her for using Photoshop? NAH [sic]”

Another added: “Can y’all let Mariah Carey live? So what if she used photoshop? so does everyone else [sic]”

We’re sure Mariah’s not too bothered by the controversy. After all, she’s probably too busy preparing for the residency.

Speaking previously, she said: “It's a new chapter for me and I'm just excited about it.”

Do you think Mariah should be criticised for getting a little bit of help from Photoshop?
