When Made in Chelsea's Binky Felstead revealed she was pregnant with her ex-boyfriend JP’s baby, fans were shocked.
And it turns out that Binky felt exactly the same.
Binky announced the happy news on her Instagram. Alongside a picture of her and JP, taken for Hello magazine, she wrote: "When you get the best surprise you never knew you always wanted… There's a little 'buh' on the way."
JP, also posted a photo along with the caption: "I'm thrilled to announce the news is true, such an exciting chapter to our lives. What a year this will be."
However, Binky has been completely honest and admitted that when she first discovered she was pregnant, she panicked.
“My first reaction when I saw [the positive test], honestly? It was shit.
“My heart stopped. I burst into tears. Josh and I weren’t talking at the time and I was really overwhelmed,” she told Hello! magazine.
Bless her.
The pair have been on-off for 18 months and during the last series they decided to split for good after JP became uncomfortable with Binky’s relationship with their co-star Julius Cowdrey.
Binky, who has appeared on Made in Chelsea since it began in 2011, has admitted they’re not going to get back together just because they’re having a baby together, explaining: “I want to be a little family, to be honest. But I’m going to be OK either way.
“Whatever happens, this baby is not going to be affected. And I know Josh will be part of the baby’s life whether we are together or not.”
Binky has also confirmed that she will continue to star on the E4 reality show and share her amazing journey with her fans. She recently revealed on Instagram that her cast members found out on set about her pregnancy and they have all been very supportive on social media.
Ollie Locke – who hasn’t had the easiest relationship with JP – posted a lovely message on Instagram, writing: “After a lifetime of friendship I was entrusted with one of the biggest secrets I ever had a privilege of holding on to!
"I love you more than anything and will spend the next 100 years doing anything I can to help you both! You know all this as some things don't need to be said on social media!
"But your going to truly be the most fabulous mummy and I can't wait to meet the little one! All my love always! @binkyfelstead @joshuapatterson_jp X"
Although her best friend Louise Thompson has revealed she’s still not sure JP is the right person for Binky.
“To be honest I’ve always been wary about JP because things have never been smooth sailing between them.
“They’re both great people, I just want them to be happy,” she told OK! magazine.
