According to reports ITV have a three day rule on the show – if you last the 72 hours you will get paid in full. This means that Gemma has adhered to the rules and will be paid for her time on the show.
But many fans called for ITV not to pay the full amount to the star, claiming she doens't deserve it for such a short stay.
The news of Gemma's exi comes as her ex-fiance Rami Hawash, predicted that the TOWIE star's "mood swings" would make it difficult for her to adjust to jungle life.
He claimed to The Sun: “If she doesn’t get her own way she can go off like a firework. She would cry, moan and swear.
"Gemma is insecure, jealous and could turn in a second. She needs help for her anger issues."
He added: "She will moan, be rude, try to control everybody and tell them what to do because she’ll be too scared to do the tasks herself.
"I hope they’re not too hard on her because she won’t take it well."
