The former Apprentice star, 26, wrote in her column for a UK newspaper that mothers need to stop claiming that being a parent is a chore and that it cannot be compared to a real job.

She said: “It’s not a job, it frustrates me when people call being a mother a ‘job’, you become a parent because you want to be one, not because you have to be.

“So please, if you choose to be a stay-at-home mum stop telling people you have the hardest job in the world, you don’t.”

Outspoken Luisa, who is a single mum to three-year-old daughter Dixie, agreed that being a parent can sometimes be strenuous, but insisted that it isn’t the same as going out to work.

“Yes it’s laborious, yes it’s monotonous and yes I could never stay at home with my child singing twinkle twinkle little star all day and drinking coffee with other mums in the local buggy park but please stop calling it a job,” she said.

IS IT BETTER TO BE RAISED IN A SINGLE-PARENT HOME?

Luisa said that while having a child can take it out of you, she enjoys juggling motherhood with work and wouldn’t have it any other way.

She said: “I love my daughter and love spending time with her and never see this as a chore, I get so excited when I have to spend time with her – even when she woke me up at 1am and 3am last night before I relented and she slept in my bed, I loved it.

“And that’s in spite of having an alarm set for 5.30am when I had to get up for work and now suffering from bags under my eyes for the photo shoot I’m doing today. I’m a working mum, I’ll always be a working mum.”

Luisa revealed that she gets criticism for having a social life, even when Dixie is with her father

Lusia shares custody of Dixie with her father Oliver, but said she still gets abuse when she’s seen out without her child.

“I’m a strong believer in having it all. I want to have my businesses and run them smoothly,” she said. “I love having a close circle of very sociable friends and partying with them (I am only 26 after all!) and I know I can be a brilliant mother too – my daughter is a testament to that.”
