Former X Factor star Lucy Spraggan is planning to start a family with her wife.

The singer, 25, married Georgina Gordon last year after proposing on a boat on the River Thames in London.

The couple have now begun the process of becoming parents and Lucy admits Georgina will be the first to carry their baby because of Lucy’s medical fears.

She told DIVA magazine: “We’re in the process but no success so far. G’s going to carry first because I’m a bit s--t with needles.”

Lucy was previously approved to become a foster parent after she decided she wanted to help children in her local area.

She said: “We saw that a lot of refugees were being dropped off around Manchester and Stockport so we were like, ‘Let’s try and help.’

“When we got there we realised that there’s loads of kids locally that need care so we just thought, ‘F--k it, let’s do it.’ We’re in a good financial and life position, so why not?”

Lucy rose to fame in 2012 on The X Factor and was tipped to win the show but was forced to drop out due to illness.
