Emmerdale actress Lucy Pargeter has welcomed twin babies into the world
Congratulations are in order to Lucy Pargeter and her fiancé Rudi Coleano who have welcomed twin girls into the world.
The happy couple have been trying to get pregnant for 11 years and in October last year they announced they're expecting twins. Lucy confirmed the news on Twitter, she wrote: "We are overwhelmed with your lovely messages and over the moon to be having twins thank you all so so much x x"
And now a spokeswoman for Emmerdale has confirmed that the baby girls safely arrived last week: "Lucy Pargeter and Rudi Coleano are delighted to announce the birth of their twin girls who were born on Thursday April 13.
"All are happy and healthy and Lola is delighted to have finally become a big sister."
Aww.
The Emmerdale actress and her fiancé are already parents to their 12-year-old daughter Lola and in the past Lucy has opened up about struggling to conceive naturally. After turning to IVF she managed to fall pregnant with twins girls.
Opening up about her experience of IVF, she explained on This Morning: "We put two in last year and they didn't take, so we thought that the chances were that... If just one takes, that'll be brilliant! But I kind of knew that it would be two, I just knew."
Shen also admitted they kept their daughter Lola in the loop every step of the way, she said: "I think it's so important. I didn't want anything to happen behind her back.
"We've both been totally open with her about it - she's been to scans, the doctor's appointment when we decided how many to put in.
"She knew about the whole process, about how it works and that they grow them and how they turn into cells. So she's been through the whole thing with us."
How lovely!
Congratulations to your family Lucy we can't wait to see the girls.
