Congratulations are in order for Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas who have announced their engagement after former Coronation Street actor Ryan proposed during a romantic break to the Italian resort of Positano.
Lucy confirmed the happy news on Instagram, sharing a photo of her and Ryan with her engagement ring on full display alongside a caption which read: “I said YES 💍❤️ @ryanthomas84”
The pair’s celebrity pals took to the comments section to send their congratulations, including Lucy’s former TOWIE co-stars Sam Faiers and Lydia Bright.
“Ohhhhh Lucy!! Massive congratulations ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ so happy for you both xx,” wrote Sam, while Lydia added: “Wohoooooooooooooooooo love you so much ❤️❤️”

Ryan and Lucy have been dating for two years after meeting on Channel 4 reality show Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls in 2017.
They briefly split in June last year following an explosive row but reconciled just days later and appear to have been happier than ever since.

Fans began speculating that Ryan was ready to pop the question earlier this week when jetted Lucy off on their romantic break.
Lucy appeared to hint that marriage was on the cards earlier this year when she was spotted liking a series of wedding photos on Instagram, with Ryan even admitting that she regularly drops hints about getting engaged.
“She’s always dropping hints about what she wants to happen,” he told OK! magazine, adding: “I think Lucy wants me to propose next year!”
Well, it looks like he finally got the hint! Congratulations to the happy couple.
