Lucy Mecklenburgh is quitting The Only Way is Essex, and will leave during this year’s Christmas special, according to reports.
Heatworld have revealed that the 22 year-old has already filmed her exit scene after being unhappy with the way she was portrayed in the ITV2 reality show.
A show source told heat: ‘Lucy wasn't at all happy with the way she came off in the last series. She thinks all the stuff with (her ex-fiancé) Mario Falcone and Tom Pearce is starting to make her look stupid.
‘She thinks it's better for her future to take a break from the show.’
Lucy has been on the show since the very beginning when she became tangled up in a love triangle between Mark Wright and Lauren Goodger.
She then got engaged to co-star Mario Falcone but the couple split when she discovered he had cheated on her with a string of girls.
Earlier this year, the reality star launched her own fitness website where fans can pay to access workouts with the honed reality star and her trainer.
Lucy’s exit comes after fellow TOWIE star Joey Essex left during the last series to appear in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
It has recently been rumoured that show originals Amy Childs and Harry Derbidge might be returning to the programme.
A UK newspaper has reported that Amy and her blonde cousin may be invited back as 'producers are thinking of having a reunion with some of the old characters coming back'.
Mark Wright's ex, Lauren Goodger is also reportedly in the show's sights again.
